At Charrington’s we use only the finest eating apples, all hand-picked from the trees on our family’s farm in Kent.
A wine-style fermentation and blending process helps us create delicate and refined single-estate sparkling craft ciders. Private Bin (dry) and Cryals Classic (medium) are blends of cox, russet and bramley, while Limited Edition Queen of Cox is a delightful all-cox creation.
Our new still cider, The Earl’s Reserve, is a vintage russet cider that can be enjoyed chilled in summer and mulled in winter with our unique Red Peppercorn & Hibiscus herbal infusions. Our juices are single-variety pressings and display all the taste and texture traits of the individual apples: the crisp tang of coxes in Captivating Cox; and the rich nutty sweetness of russets in Ravishing Russet. For our Apple Crisps we slice and air-dry coxes, russets and Cheerfull Gold TM. There’s no frying and nothing added so they are a very healthy snack. Every thing we produce has been awarded either stars by Great Taste or been a winner at the Quality Awards (both are national, highly regarded awards schemes) and is deliciously distinctive.
Private Bin and Queen of Cox can be paired with light bites and nibbles while medium Cryals Classic works well with richer pork or blue cheese dishes. The Earl’s Reserve is best enjoyed mulled with Red Peppercorn & Hibiscus herbal infusions and is ideal for winter festivals life bonfire night and in the frosty run up to Christmas. Although fabulous on their own the apple juices can also be used as cocktail mixers, Captivating Cox with flavoured gins and Ravishing Russet with toffee vodka or spiced rum. The Apple Crisps are a tasty accompaniment to a cheese board.
