Our Judges

We regard our judges as at the heart of the prestige and integrity of Tiptree World Bread Awards with Brook Food.

We have been honoured over the years that so many great names have given their support, time and expertise. From Andrew Whitley, founder of the Real Bread Campaign to Richard Bertinet, legendary baker, from the late Louis Troyano, much loved of the Great British Bake Off to Apollonia Poilane, of the historic Poilane bakery – and many more.

Our judges range from bakers and retailers, to top food writers and chefs. All of them embrace baking in their professional life and have many years, even decades, of experience. Each year, the panel is carefully crafted to maintain this incredible wealth of knowledge.
