The brewery stands peacefully in the heart of the Lincolnshire Wolds, surrounded by rich farm land. The Wood’s family have farmed there since Grandfather Wood took on the tenancy around the time of the Great War in 1914 with the third generation tending the fields. Tom Wood founded the brewery in March 1995, in a converted brick built grain store. It started with a capacity of 50 firkins a week (a firkin is 9 gallons) growing to over 170,000 pints today.

With preparations for the brewery’s 20th Anniversary in 2015 underway, Tom Wood Beers is proud to be using traditional methods of brewing and only English ingredients in its beers. This creates a rich blend of colours and flavours encapsulated in Tom Wood’s Best, Bomber County and Lincoln Gold. These beers are available at The Yarborough Hunt in Brigg and other fine establishments across Lincolnshire. Bomber and Gold are also available in bottles.
